CUSP election
In line with our constitution, the CUSP membership is up for re-election every two years. Having called for new members to stand for election, we were pleased that three fans of the club put themselves forward to join CUSP.
Two current CUSP members – James Mills and Paul Moffat – have decided not to stand again, which leaves six remaining CUSP members.
Clause 5.4 of the CUSP constitution reads as follows: "Elections will be held on a one fan / one vote basis. To ensure consistency in the relationship between the CUSP and the Club, the five existing CUSP members receiving the most votes in the election will be re-elected. The remaining six members will comprise the six candidates receiving the most votes (excluding the five renewing CUSP members). If there are fewer than six additional candidates, an election will not be required, and all candidates will be automatically become members of the CUSP."
Given this, the three new candidates, along with the six existing CUSP members, will now form the new CUSP, and an election will not be required.
At this time we would like to thank James and Paul for their hard work and support of CUSP during the last two years.
We will announce the new CUSP membership list and the new Chair and Vice Chair in due course.
