Statement from Ian Mather, CEO, following the indicative vote by Sky Bet League Two clubs to end the 2019/2020 season.

"We are pleased that the right decision has been taken to end the current season in League 2 subject to completing play-offs and resolving the question of relegation and promotion from the National League. Whilst it is obviously disappointing it is not at all unexpected. It is the path we have been supporting over the last month given these exceptional times and expect it to be formally ratified shortly.

"We have been hugely grateful for the support and understanding that fans have shown over recent weeks and we know what a difficult period this is for everyone. We are actively looking to offer season ticket holders different options in relation to the outstanding games that will now no longer be played. We will communicating with CUSP and CFU early next week as it is important that their views as fans’ representatives are considered. We will be in a position to update all supporters shortly."
